African, Drum, Dance and Celebration – All ages!
BOTTLE WORKS Camp B-Dub Camp for All Ages
August 14 – 18, 9 AM – 3 PM
Come on an African adventure as we immerse ourselves in the rich history of drum, dance and song, of Guinea, West Africa. You will experience West African drum and dance, food, arts, crafts, and stories. Bring your energy on an expedition exploring West Africa. It’s culturally rich and highly educational, as well as physically motivating. We’ll engage in Kulani’s mission of creating community & spreading joy. This camp is for a wide range of ages modeled after the Guinea community our instructors learned from where adults, teens & young children learn dance & drum as a community. Teen participants will have the chance to explore their own leadership skills. Everyone will have the opportunity to be a part of Kulani Kids and perform with the adult West African Drum and Dance group, Kulani, during Ethnic Fest 2017. The last day will include a performance for parents.
Grades: entering 2nd – leaving 12th
