Kids’ West African Dance Class

Tuesdays from 6:30-7:15 PM February 26- May 28

Join Instructors Gwen and Holly on Tuesday evenings for West African Dance Class at the Bottle Works’ Black Box Theater from 6:30PM to 7:15PM. Kids ages 5 and up are welcome,

There is a suggested donation of $5 per class; but if you are not able to give no worries. We still invite you come dance with us!

We ask all dancers to dress in flexible clothing and bring a water bottle.

CENTER STAGE  A Youth Theater Workshop Opportunity

June 25 – 28, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Grades 2 – 5) & 1 – 3 PM (Grades 6 – 11) 

ACT * SING  * DANCE  * PERFORM  * MAKE FRIENDS

Our Center Stage workshop offers an inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles where participants have the opportunity to study many aspects of theater arts, develop valuable life skills and improve acting, singing and movement skills as they relates to theater performances. The Center Stage workshop is divided into two groups:

The “Early Stage” is for students that have recently completed grades 2 to 5 and will be held from 10 AM  – 12 PM. Students will develop an age appropriate range of acting, singing, and dancing skills through the exploration of musical theater techniques, dance steps, and vocal music instruction. They will also create musical numbers and scenes with classmates to be performed at the end of the workshop.

The “Teen Stage” is for students that have recently completed grades 6 to 11 and will be held from 1 – 3 PM. Students will develop an age appropriate range of acting, singing, and dancing skills through the exploration of musical theater techniques, dance steps, and vocal music instruction. They will also create musical numbers and scenes with classmates to be performed at the end of the workshop.

The workshop will culminate in a demonstration of workshop accomplishments on Saturday, June 29 at 11:00 AM for all participants at the Bottle Works. This performance is free and open to the public.

The workshop fee is $125 per student for all 4 sessions if the reservation is made on or before May 31, 2019. The fee will increase to $130 per student if the reservation is made after May 31, 2019. Reserve early, class sizes are limited.
