The Bottle Works is excited to present, in accordance with our Nature Works Event, Outside the Lines-Shelley Poli Exhibit!

Join us for the opening of the exhibit as part of our Nature Works event on March 7 from 10 AM – 2 PM.

Shelley Poli-
I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My husband Dave and I have lived in Ligonier, PA for the past 39 years and we have two remarkable daughters, Christina and Jessica.

I had promised myself when I retired I would take the time to paint, so 5 years ago I bought watercolors, pastels and paper and started my journey. I took a few beginner classes, but discovered I am more of a self-taught artist. In the process of experimenting and trying new techniques, my style slowly evolved. I have used paint, pen and ink, and rice paper to extend my subject matter out onto the mat and sometimes even the frame.

“Some of my paintings tend to wander outside their borders.”

I am a member of the Somerset County Artists Association, Allied Artists of Johnstown and the Latrobe Art Center. My work is exhibited at the Main Exhibit Gallery in Ligonier and the Latrobe Art Center Gallery.

In 2018 I took 12 of my favorite paintings, turned them into pen and ink drawings and created my own coloring book, “Outside the Lines”, which can be found at the Bottleworks in Johnstown, Main Exhibit Gallery and Latrobe Art Center.

Shelley’s exhibit will be on display in our Events Space.

This exhibit is brought to you by our Nature Works sponsors: REI, Penguin Court a Brandywine Conservancy, Trout Unlimted, and SCRIP, and our exhibit sponsors: Somerset Trust and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts
