Arts Academy Summer Program: Ages 8-16

Go on a journey of artistic adventure during our Arts Academy Summer Programs. Arts Academy is designed for learners who wish to have an immersive art experience. Students will work alongside professional artists exploring many different art techniques and mediums. This exciting comprehensive program takes art education to the next level and opens up a whole new world of cultural adventure!!
At the end of the program, Arts Academy students are invited to be an exhibitor in the Bottle Works’ Art Gallery Showcase.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Bottle Works offers scholarships for art camps and workshops. Need-based, full or partial scholarships are available and distributed on a first come, first served basis. Funds are very limited. BEFORE & AFTER CARE

Before & after care is available beginning at 8:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM Cost: $5 per hour (Before & After Care discounts are available for multiple hours, contact Holly Lees for more details).
*Schedules and payment must be submitted to Holly Lees one week prior to the program start date to ensure care.

All About Art: Drawing, Painting, Photography, & Culinary Art

Monday- Friday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
with one extended field trip day: Date TBA- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Ages 8– 16

Instructors: Holly Lees and Multiple Guest Artists

Discover your talents and learn about career opportunities in the area of fine arts and overall creativity. Participants will explore art subjects including drawing, painting, photography, culinary art, folk art, and printmaking with art professionals from various fields and backgrounds. A guest artist will join us each day to share their expertise and lead us in an art project. Students will also learn mindful practices which can be put into use in many aspects of life.
On field trip day, we are going to Pittsburgh for a unique art experience. This will be an extended day from 8AM – 5PM. Trip details to come!

Arts Academy Week 2: June 22-26
Mini Masters Art

Monday- Friday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
with one extended field trip day: Date TBA- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Ages 8– 16

Instructor: Joanne Mekis

Become A Mini Master this summer! Students will learn how to create like a famous artist with instructor Joanne Mekis! Mini Masters will explore many art forms from the 18th through the 20th Centuries such as impressionism, expressionism, and Art Nouveau, and create Pop Art! Sketch outdoors, paint, draw with ink and watercolors, and more! Find out how fun it is to create a masterpiece! Mini Masters is a very popular art camp. Joanne will offer new projects and activities. Returning Mini Masters are welcome to attend!

For field trip day, we are going to Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Museum of Art and Natural History. This will be an extended day from 8 AM – 5 PM. Trip details to come!
