Bottle Works Arts Academy: A Journey of Artistic Adventure
Three Segments ٠ Nine Sessions ٠ Three Art Disciplines
Segment One beings Saturday, January 23, 2021!
Saturdays, 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Bottle Works Arts Academy is back, and we are so excited to go on this artistic journey with you. Each Saturday, you will engage in a creative experience that is sure to inspire and enhance your artistic abilities. Participants, 8 to 15, can sign up for three consecutive segments, or you can create your own path by registering for the segments that interest you. This year, (thanks to the Community Foundations for the Alleghenies) we are offering two explosive experiences: in-person in the AmeriServ Learning Center or online in the comfort of your own home! You are able to flex between an in-person or a virtual experience. If you would like to know more about the flex option, please contact Holly Lees, Mindfulness and Youth Education Coordinator
Abouts Arts Academy
Arts Academy gives young creatives a chance to learn from and work with professional artists from around the region and beyond. Each student will receive an immersive art experience like no other in these three Segments: Drawing, Painting, and Folk & Traditional Arts!
Students will gain a deeper knowledge of art basics and foundations, learn how to work with professional-grade art supplies, and create an exhibit and opening reception at the Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center and via our virtual gallery on the Bottle Work’s Website. At the end of the program, participants will exit the program will a “Master of the Arts” certificate, Arts Academy / Bottle Works swag (when you register for 2 or more segments), and a body of work to showcase to family and friends.
In addition to your artistic education, students will learn positive Mindfulness practice. These mindfulness tools help students unlock their creative process, and the tools can be used in many aspects of their everyday life.
